Who we are
Precision Sensors & Instruments (PSI) LLC is a company established in 2008 in the Republic of Armenia to develop a new class of high performance sensors on the basis of a New Technology. Members of the PSI team are scientists and engineers who have up to 45 years of experience in technology development, with working experience in technology development companies in the USA, Japan, Russia and Armenia.
PSI’s vision is to fabricate sensors and sensor systems based on this new technology and introduce its competitive merits to the global seismic sensor market, border security market and other markets where this new technology can be utilized.
The new technology’s ultra-sensitive seismic sensors have given rise to many market applications and products that can serve both military and civilian needs. Border Security Systems are natural applications that can serve to protect state and federal borders and high value infrastructure such as power plants, airports, dams, bridges, seaports, gas and oil pipelines, etc. In addition, our cost/performance proposition allows this sensor to be used for private and commercial perimeter security applications.
Used in an intelligent gathering system, it can enable detection and recognition of various mobile targets (walking or crawling man, tracked or wheeled vehicles, or other human activities) approaching any zone (military bases, state properties, banks, or other critical high priority infrastructures and facilities) or borders without the need for physical line-of-sight.
PSI entered the Global Security Challenge (GSC) competition in 2008 to introduce this new technology to the world. As a result, PSI was the proud winner in the Asian Semifinal competition in Singapore, and one of the top six technologies in the world finals held in London in November 2008.
